Pauger:
Huge comeback win to close the series and to secure the semifinals. You guys were 39 minutes down. What was the biggest hurdle to take this evening?

Laput:
Well, you know what, mentally, we never gave up, and we just kept fighting. Coach made a great decision to switch the zone, which really saved us, and we really clogged the lane. We had, it felt like, no help defense the entire game, and then the last five minutes, we were just jamming the lane every time they drove, there was a lot of bodies. And then we got the rebound, we were boxed out, and we were finishing every possession on defense. I thought that was the key. And then on offense, it wasn’t pretty. Like, there wasn’t anything that we were necessarily doing right about it, but we were just fighting, and we were fighting every time our shot went up to get the offensive rebound and give us another possession. And that was enough to somehow get us the win.

Pauger:
You lead the team by 25 points and 10 rebounds. How happy are you with your today’s performance?

Laput:
Uh, I would have been real sad if Jordan didn’t make the shot to win us the game, but I was happy that what I did ended up being good enough for us to win.

Pauger:
We are facing the Bulls for a styrian derby in the semis. How do you want to beat them and get through to the final?

Laput:
I mean, it’s going to be a fight. We know each series of the playoffs is just going to be harder than the last. This was extremely hard, even though it was in four games. It felt a lot harder than maybe the series number said. And we know this next one is going to be even harder. But we have great team chemistry. We love playing with each other, and we’re going to fight to the end. And we’re very talented, well-coached, and so I think we can beat anybody when we’re at our best. ...

A show of force from the flyers in Game One of the Playoff Series this evening. What are the reasons for the blowout in the second quarter?

Brewer:
They just came with more energy and put more pressure on us. Me as the point guard, I got to be better at getting our teammates in and stuff. We got to be better at getting open. But we got to be physical, more physical on defense so they can’t get easy drives.

Pauger:
Game 2 is already next wednesday. How do you guys want to defend your home court?

Brewer:
We got to come out with energy, like the fire is coming out with energy. We come out with energy, stop Azor from getting to the paint, and stop the shooters from getting open shots. I feel like we have a great chance to win. ...
